With its rich natural ecosystem, Munnar is one of the best places in the Western Ghats to spot some of the endemic birds like Nilgiri Wood Pigeon, Nilgiri Flycatcher, Black and Rufous Flycatcher, Nilgiri Pipit, Kerala Laughing Thrush, Painted Bush Quail, Broad Tailed Grass Bird and much more.
It is recommended to wear nature-colored costumes, trekking or walking shoes, carry a water bottle, hat or cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen if necessary.
